When to not use Google AdSense

Google AdSense has benefited countless number of website owners who have used it to earn easy cash. Those website owners who wish to subscribe to it need to place advertisements generated by Google AdSense program. The website owners can choose suitable advertisements from a large pool of available advertisements. The payment is made to the website owner on the basis of per thousand clicks.

Would you want to lose your customers to someone else? Well, certainly not and you shouldn't. If you have already done that and still wish to keep them, you can use a workaround; place AdSense advertisements at such places where a visitor is least likely to click them. In this way, you will be able to keep these advertisements and won’t lose your customers as well. It makes sense to use AdSense program only if you don’t have any other means to earn with your website. For example, if your website is an informative one, you should go for this program.

Your advertisements tend to offend any Internet user advertisements posted under AdSense program may do more harm than good for you. The Internet users might start shying from visiting your website altogether. In this way, you will lose any income that you might be earning in the first place before going for AdSense program. Besides that, Google policies prohibit AdSense users to post offensive and intrusive advertisements.

If your website receives large amount of traffic you can go for AdSense premium. This program offers a lot of flexibility and customization options. In fact, this program is being used by popular websites like New York Times. Would it make a sense to host advertisements of your competitors? Absolutely not. Further, it would not be appropriate if you host advertisements which might not go well with the product or service being offered by you. For example, your website content might focus on side effects of weight loss products. Would it make a good idea to display advertisement of such products? It wouldn't.
